We are delighted to announce some new speakers in our exciting speaker line-up at UOG 2014. Matthias Meister, the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Regional Director for South, Central and East Europe will be speaking. Matthias is also a Product Development Manager at Baker Hughes INTEQ GmbH. The Society of Petroleum Engineers will be launching their Israel branch at UOG 2014.
Binyamin Zomer will also be speaking, who is the Israel Country Manager of Noble Energy. Since 1998 Noble Energy has operated successful exploration wells offshore Israel and Cyprus and has discovered over 40 Trillion Cubic Feet of new gas resources in the region. It now believed that there could be up to 221 TCF of natural gas in total offshore Israel, with further regional potential both onshore and offshore.

Mehmet Öğütçü, Former Global Director, BG Group, will also be speaking at UOG 2014. BG plays a major role in Egypt’s oil and gas industry, which is now looking to buy natural gas from Israel.
Peter Højlund Hviid will also speak at UOG 2014. Peter heads the oil and gas activities for SystemTeknik A/S, which is a globally working whole contractor of electrical control systems for industrial installations. SystemTeknik has worked with Statoil and other big players in the oil & gas industry.
Geoffrey Ben-Nathan will be speaking on the last day of the conference in the Security and Strategy session. Geoffrey is a Middle East expert, and has appeared on major news channels, such as Sky News and Iranian news channel Press TV’s Middle East Today, discussing situations in Israel and Syria.
